Our team are highly trained in many areas and are happy to look after your general health and more specific requirements. We are dedicated to listening to you, discussing your physical and mental concerns in an honest and open fashion. We will provide you with up to date, evidence-based medical advice to make informed choices when it comes to managing your health.
For many years our Practice has been involved in the education of medical students from RCSI and UCD. We always advise patients in advance if a student is present and will only invite a student into your consultation with your full permission.
The practice is a training practice for specialist Registrars in General Practice from the Irish College of General Practitioners training scheme. These Registrars are qualified experienced doctors and are undertaking further training and experience in General Practice. They remain in the practice from periods of 6 months to 1 year.
Our beloved founder of Brophy Family Practice, Dr Pat Brophy, who passed away on 7th May 2025 will be greatly missed by everyone here at the surgery.
His kindness, warmth, and unwavering dedication to his work has left a lasting impression on all who knew him and continues to inspire us in how we live and care for others.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who shared their condolences, stories, and cherished memories of Dr Pat following his passing. Thanks to each and every one of you.

Deirdre joined the practice more than two decades ago, having worked on the front desk for many years. Now as practice manager she is responsible for any management aspects of the practice. Deirdre ensures the surgery runs smoothly day to day and deals with a variety of administrative and financial duties behind the scenes. Deirdre has over 10 years experience in her role and obtained her Practice Management Diploma from ICGP.
Catherine, Aileen and Ellen are your first contact with the surgery. They are our wonderful dedicated medical receptionists and will help you with any queries.
